On my mind

What's on my mind??? How much the Lord loves me and how HIS grace and mercy have saved me. It took so much on my part to give it all to him and at the same being forgiven for my mistakes and my bad choices in life. We all have hang-ups, things of this world that we hang on to, etc. The biggest one of my life was Alcohol. That was a huge one for me. Didn't matter what time of day it was, it was always on my mind. That want, that need came before EVERYTHING!!! I look back and see myself, then (cloudy mind,hungover,etc) and now (blue skies, no hangovers) and I cannot believe that, came before My Father in Heaven. To top it all of, it was the Lord using my son to finally get through to me. HE has a plan for us ALL!! I thank The Lord above everyday for His Love, Grace, and mercy. I look and read in Romans chapters 7 and 8 how we fight with ourselves daily. The spirit side wants to be clean and pure while our flesh side wants the thing of this world. When I finally quit drinking there for a while I was living that part of The Lords Word. I would read that part of the Bible DAILY!!! People don't understand how POWERFUL The Bible is. It helps EVERYDAY!! You read it, and apply it to daily life. One more thing.....We as the Body of CHRIST, our Lord and Savior should be reading it daily. When was the last time you picked up your Bible and got in The Word??? Honestly....I feel like some thing is missing when I don't. So please, if it has been a while since you have opened The Bible.....The treasure found in it, are more than you could ever imagine.
